Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming ramp closure and detour for travelers in Sherman. On May 27, until July 23, the westbound SH 91 access to US 75 northbound frontage road will be closed to facilitate the next phase of construction in this area. This closure is part of TxDOT's ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety and efficiency in the area.

Northbound motorists intending to access eastbound SH 91 will need to take the N. Travis Street Exit (Exit 60), follow the frontage road to Taylor Street, turn right and follow Taylor Street to SH 91. A detour will be posted to guide traffic.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to pay close attention to all traffic controls and remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
