Sherman, Texas – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming U-Turn closure and detour for travelers in Sherman. On May 27, until July 23, the southbound frontage road to northbound frontage road U-Turn at SH 91 will be closed to facilitate the next phase of construction in this area.

This closure is part of TxDOT's ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety and efficiency in the area.
US 75 Southbound frontage road motorists intending to access the US 75 northbound frontage road will need to continue to N. Travis Street, and utilize the U-Turn at Travis Street.  A detour will be posted to guide traffic.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to pay close attention to all traffic controls and remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
