Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming ramp closure and detour for travelers in Sherman. On May 30, at 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. October 23, 2025, the US 75 northbound exit to SH-91 will be closed to facilitate the construction of the ultimate ramp connection. This closure is part of TxDOT's ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety and efficiency in the area.

Motorists intending to access SH-91 will be required to take Exit 60 for N. Travis Street/Taylor Street. Detour signs will be posted along the frontage road at N. Travis Street, Taylor Street, and N Loy Lake intersections.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to pay close attention to all traffic controls and remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
