Unofficial runoff election results for McKinney City Council races

McKinney, Texas -- McKinney residents cast their ballots Saturday in the runoff election to select the Mayor and one At-Large representative, each serving a four-year term. Results are provided by the Collin County Election Administrator and remain unofficial until approved by the McKinney City Council.

Mayor

Bill Cox won the mayoral seat with 11,401 votes (52.55%), defeating Scott Sanford with 10,296 votes (47.45%).

At-Large

Ernest Lynch won the At-Large seat with 11,852 votes (62.64%), defeating Jim Garrison with 7,070 votes (37.36%).

During the general election in May, Justin Beller won the District 1 seat, and Geré Feltus won the District 3 seat. The election results are slated to be canvassed at the City Council special meeting and work session on Tuesday, June 17.
