Bonham, Texas -- Kassandra Jane Wright, known affectionately to friends and family as Sandy, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 7, 1953, in Bonham, Texas, Sandy was a beacon of creativity and generosity, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Sandy's early years in Bonham set the stage for a life filled with artistic passion and a love for the community. As an accomplished artist, she brought beauty into the world through her works, capturing the hearts of many with her unique vision and creative spirit. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly when she owned and operated a local travel agency, sharing her love for adventure and exploration with others.
In her professional life, Sandy also served as a manager at Cato's clothing store, where her impeccable organization skills and compassionate leadership were greatly valued by her colleagues. Her keen eye for beauty and history led her to work at Village Antiques and Uniques in Bonham, where she was not only an employee but also a cherished member of the community.
Sandy's home was a testament to her love for antiques, with each piece in her collection telling a story of a time long past. Thrift shopping was not just a hobby for Sandy; it was a treasure hunt that she embarked upon with excitement and enthusiasm.
Those who knew Sandy will remember her as the epitome of kindness. She was a person who gave generously, not only with material gifts but also with her time and attention. Her creative mind was matched only by her big heart, making her a friend and confidante to many.
Sandy is survived by her son, Chris Broils; her brother, Mike Sudderth, and his wife, Sheila. She also leaves behind a group of close friends affectionately known as Sandy's Angels: Mark and Julie Clemons, Vickie Davis, Linda Brewer, Sharon Jacobs, and Cathy Danner. Each of these individuals played a significant role in her life, and she cherished their friendship and support. Sandy is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mac and Imogene Sudderth.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice, and the 8th floor nurses at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Their compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.
Sandy's service will be held at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX. The date and time is still to be determined.
