Bonham, Texas -- Teresa Helen Messina passed on June 21, 2025, to walk among the ancestors. She was a healthcare information manager and a LTAC Coding Specialist in Sherman.
A longtime friend said Teresa was sharp-tongued and lion-hearted with a Queen's accent laced with Italian fire. Other health care workers and friends told what made Teresa a special person to them. She was always blunt (but in a good way) yet beautiful and peaceful. She also was fierce, honest, and unapologetic. An absolute beauty with a strong presence. Despite her health battle, she had a perseverant and indominable spirit manifesting in a super focus. She was a voice of reason giving different perspectives. She gave helpful spot-on advice, and she loved conversations that put a smile on others faces.
Teresa was a wonderful cook who took great joy in cooking for and feeding people to show her love and appreciation. She loved animals to the point where she failed at cat rescue since she kept most of them.
Teresa was survived by her partner of 17 years, Joan Green, who said Teresa was the strongest person she ever knew. Teresa is also survived by her mother, Rosemary Kulick, and her 3 sons Frank, Michael, and Christopher, and 2 grandchildren Skye and Christiano. She has 3 sisters Kristine, Dawn, and Ronnie Marie, a brother Bernie, and special Uncle George.
Teresa was taken from us unexpectedly and way too soon. This special person was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
