Northbound frontage road closure notification – US 75 NBFR from Travis Street to Taylor Street

Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming ramp closure and detour for travelers in Sherman. At 8 p.m. August 24, until 5 a.m. August 25, the north bound frontage road between Travis Street and Taylor Street will be closed to facilitate the next phase of construction in this area. This closure is part of TxDOT's ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety and efficiency in the area.

Motorists intending to access and travel north on the NBFR between Travis and Taylor will turn east, down FM 131 and access Taylor Street. From there drivers can access the NBFR and US 75.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to pay close attention to all traffic controls and remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
