Dodd City, ranked No. 4 in Class A, certainly lived up to that billing with a 25-11 win in the opener. Trenton battled valiantly in the second set before falling, 28-26.
In addition to the stellar performance by Weeks, Gracyn Shindler slammed down seven kills, Kodi Dorau dropped in three kills, with Kaleigh McBrayer and Kendyl Lindsey collecting one kill apiece.
Shindler handed out a dozen assists and McBrayer dished out six assists.
Kenzi Freeman, Weeks and Shindler were all in double digits in digs, with 13, 11 and 10, respectively.
Lindsey had a team-high four aces.
In the second round, Dodd City swept TCS, 25-21 and 25-19. Weeks put down eight kills and Shindler had six kills to go along with the sophomore's six assists. Freeman came up with 12 digs. Adison White, Shindler, McBrayer and Weeks all had a pair of aces.
In the third round of pool play, Leonard defeated Dodd City in straight sets, 25-17 and 25-19. Weeks put down 10 kills, Shindler had eight kills and McBrayer had one kill. Shindler doled out eight assists, Freeman got under a team-high seven digs, Weeks had two blocks and Caroline Lackey had one block.
Dodd City will be back at the Tom Bean Volleyball Tournament on Saturday for bracket competition.
