Durant, Oklahoma -- A wide variety of industries were represented as 29 companies met with Southeastern Oklahoma State University students and alumni in the Hallie McKinney Ballroom on Wednesday for the annual All Majors Career Fair.

The event was hosted in conjunction with Work Ready Durant, the local office of Work Ready Oklahoma, which focuses on empowering Oklahomans towards self-sufficiency through targeted job preparedness and skill-building workshops.

Students from all levels of university completion attended the event to network with potential employers related to their major and explore opportunities they may not have been familiar with. Agencies from state, tribal, and federal jurisdictions, the banking and financial sector, public safety, manufacturing, construction, media, health services, research laboratories, and more were represented at the event.

SE Career Services hosts multiple career fairs throughout the year to connect employers with future graduates and SE alumni who are prepared to enter the workforce and contribute immediately.

“We’re thankful for the potential employers who participated today and their continued interest in hiring Southeastern students and graduates,” said Stephanie Davison, Southeastern Executive Director of Career Services and Alumni Relations. “The faculty and staff at Southeastern continue to excel as they prepare our students for life after graduation. We’re so happy that this event continues to grow and connect employers with workforce-ready candidates from Southeastern.”

The Career Services office is always open to students, alumni, and employers with more information available at www.SE.edu/careers. Its next event is the Safety Career Fair on Wednesday, October 8.
