Bonham, Texas -- James Douglas Partridge, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on September 22, 2025. He was born on October 26, 1944, in Honey Grove, Texas, to Andrew Johnney Partridge and Willie Mae Brantley Partridge.

Doug married the love of his life, Donna Kay White Partridge, on November 1, 1963. Together, they shared 48 loving years of marriage. He devoted more than 30 years to Sherwood Medical, where he retired as Maintenance Supervisor.

A man of few words, Doug was known for his quiet strength, wisdom, and steady presence. He was a devoted family man who deeply loved and cherished his family. His greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved—whether working hard to provide for them, sharing stories on hunting trips with his brothers, or simply enjoying the outdoors together.

He found peace in the simple things: fishing, hunting, and the company of loved ones. His life was a testament to loyalty, hard work, and the quiet pride he took in his family and every endeavor he pursued.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Donna Kay Partridge, and brothers, Larry Partridge and Jimmy Partridge.

He is survived by his children: Debra Davis and husband Rick, Michael Partridge and wife Vineta, and Keith Partridge and C.C.; grandchildren: Miranda Davis, Ariel Davis, Tabitha Davis, Rodney Hobbs (Jodi), Jeremy Abbott (Lacee), Valerie Monk (Colton) , Sara Ray, and Taner Partridge; great-grandchildren: Harmony, Nevaeh, Orin, Wyatt, Kassia, Khloe, Rayleigh, Ruby, Annabeth, and Dean; brothers: Jerry Partridge and wife Dianne, Kennith Partridge and wife Irene, and Roy Partridge and wife Peanut; along with numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Dodd City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers:  TJ Partridge, Colton Monk, Rodney Hobbs, Larry Partridge, Wyatt Abbott, and Kevin Partridge.
