Grayson County, Texas -- Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that the US 75 frontage roads in Howe will be converted to one-way traffic on October 23. This one-way conversion will happen on both the east and west sides of US 75 from Blythe Road to Hanning Street.

Currently, the frontage roads are two-way roadways. Beginning October 23, these frontage roads will be converted to one-way. Lane closures will be in place during the conversion in order to complete pavement repairs and to overlay the roadway with a new surface. After the pavement work is complete, both lanes of the frontage roads will be opened to traffic.

Before converting the lanes, the Contractor will install “ONE WAY” and “DO NOT ENTER” signs to inform motorists of the new condition. Message boards will also be in place to notify drivers about the change.

Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
