Bells, Texas -- Billy Ellis Dugan passed from this earthly life into the arms of the Lord on October 22, 2025. Born on February 20, 1940, in the home of his loving parents, William Ellis (Billy) and Kathryn Dugan. Bill attended Bells High School, Grayson County College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from East Texas State University, Commerce. He is also a veteran who proudly served in the United States Army.

Bill married Sydney Stevenson on December 23, 1966, in a home ceremony in San Angelo, Texas. They lived in Savoy before moving to Bells and raising four children.

Bill married his current wife, Sherri Raines of Denison on April 3, 1981, at Bells First United Methodist Church where he was a lifetime member. Bill served faithfully in all aspects of the church and taught Sunday School for over 50 years.

Bill worked at Texas Instruments for 33 years. After retiring from TI, he worked at Trenton Plastics, and then O’Reilly Auto Parts for another 15 years. He was a member of Shriners International and the Masonic Lodge Number 798 of Bells.  He progressed through the ranks where he became Worshipful Master in the mid-1970s.
