Heber, Arkansas -- Lynn Hackfield of Matagorda, Texas, was a happy angler after landing this pretty Little Red River brown trout recently while fishing with guide Mike Winkler. The fish was caught while throwing big articulated streamers toward the bank.

Lynn was fishing with a 7-weight fly rod with a 250-grain sink link. He was using a brown and yellow Flatliner fly, Mike said.

He also says that he hasn't noticed any evidence of the brown trout spawn yet; it appears to be coming later than usual this year.
