Melissa, Texas -- The City of Melissa has transitioned to the new CodeRED by Crisis24 platform following the decommissioning of the legacy CodeRED system previously operated under OnSolve. Crisis24 has reported a cybersecurity incident affecting the older platform and discontinued its use for all customers nationwide as a precaution. They have confirmed there is no evidence that any customer information was accessed or compromised.

The City has been provided access to the new CodeRED by Crisis24 platform, ensuring that emergency notifications can continue without interruption. The City’s redundancy through TextMyGov also remains in place, giving us multiple reliable tools for urgent messaging.

Crisis24 is preparing a full export and import of the City’s existing CodeRED enrollee data into the new platform. They have confirmed this information will be available to us, though an exact t imeline for completion has not yet been provided. During this period, the City will continue sending emergency alerts through the Crisis24 platform and TextMyGov until the enrollee import is finalized.

Residents may notice that the new CodeRED by Crisis24 system features an updated appearance and registration process. No action is required for those currently enrolled, but residents may choose to confirm their contact information to ensure it is current. To confirm or update your information:

• Text MELISSATX to 24639 to receive a registration link directly to your phone.

• Or visit: CodeRED Registration Portal
