Grapevine, Texas -- This Thanksgiving, SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium treated its thousands of residents to a special “Thanksgiving Feast,” with each animal receiving a personalized meal crafted just for them. With so many species calling the aquarium home, diets vary greatly, and the animal care team works 365 days a year to ensure everyone gets exactly what it needs to stay healthy and happy, making each day feel like its own Thanksgiving celebration.

Visitors may also spot Pickles, a resilient green sea turtle and patient in the Sea Turtle Hospital at the aquarium. Pickles is missing his left flippers due to a predator attack that has left him unable to return to the ocean, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying his favorite treat, a shrimp, as part of his individualized care and rehabilitation.  

These specialized meals support natural behaviors, long-term health, and enrichment for all species in the aquarium’s care.
