Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets moved to 6-1 on the year and picked up their third win in the 2025 Craig Reed Invitational with a 13-point win over the Whitewright Lady Tigers.

Dodd City clamped down on defense to shut out Whitewright in the first quarter and take a 7-0 lead into the second frame. The Lady Hornets were up 14-6 at the half.

Dodd City opened the third period with a 9-2 run to stretch its lead to 23-8 and cruised to a 32-19 victory.

Competition in the boys and girls brackets of the Craig Reed Invitational will continue Friday and Saturday.
