Dodd City Lady Hornets top Graford, fall to Como-Pickton

Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets split their final two games of the 2025 Craig Reed Invitational, dropping the first game to Como-Pickton, but rebounding for a win over Graford in their second contest Saturday.

Dodd City's Addison Weeks put up 23 points against Como-Pickton, but the Lady Hornets fell, 36-33. Dodd City had a 25-23 edge going into the fourth quarter before Como-Pickton outscored Dodd City 13-8 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win. In addition to another strong performance by Weeks, Kendyl Lindsey finished with four points, Gracyn Shindler out up three points, with Kodi Dorau and Carla Medina tossing in two points apiece.

Dodd City bounced back into the win column with a seven-point win over Graford. It was Graford with a 21-14 cushion going into the final period, but Dodd City finished the game with a 23-8 run to rally for a 36-29 victory.

Addison Weeks and Gracyn Shindler both scored 11, with all of Shindler's points coming in the decisive fourth quarter. Kayleigh McBrayer and Dorau both put up seven points.

Dodd City (7-2) will host Era on Tuesday, December 9, with tip-off scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
