Bonham, Texas – The Creative Arts Center in Bonham has many activities planned for the holiday season.
Kidz Krew Christmas Dinner Theatre will have two shows only. Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the main gallery of the art center. Tickets are $20 each and include dinner and the show. Tickets must be purchased in advance before noon on Dec. 18 or before they are sold out. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Art Classes – The Center continues to have a wide variety of art classes scheduled for all ages. Gel Plates with Wanda Oliver will be held on Dec 16 and Jan 29 from 10 am to 4 pm. Junk Journal Club will meet on Dec 17 and Jan 28 from 2-4 pm. Garden Charm Workshop with Michelle Haynes will be held on Dec 18 from 11 am to 2 pm. Oil Pastels with Tatiana Murray will be on Dec 19 from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
In the new year, there will be many of the regular art classes, plus some new ones. Kids Embroidery with Sandy and Beginner Macrame with Kristi will be on Jan 10. Brush & Brunch with Jaye will be on Jan 13 from 11 am to 3 pm. Mixed Media and Music is on Jan 16 from 1-3 pm. Watercolors with Chris Cravens will be on Jan 16 and with Tatiana Murray on Jan 6 and Jan 20 from 10 am to noon. Oil Pastels with Tatiana Murray will be on Jan 27 from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Resin Tray class with Karen Sigler will be on Jan 17. Kids Crafts with Jaye and Youth Mixed Media with Sandy will be from 4-5 pm on Jan 20 & 27.

Other Classes –Kristi Dunbar teaches yoga on Tuesdays at 6 pm and Jenny Schero teaches chair yoga on Wednesdays at 1 pm. Classes are $10 each for members and $15 each for non-members. Poetry at the Art Center is a free monthly gathering of folks who enjoy reading and listening to poetry. The next one is set for Jan 22 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Starting in January, there will be a book club that meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month. Details will be posted on the website soon.
The Art Center’s normal hours of operation are Tuesday – Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to noon. Be sure to remember the center’s art gallery and gift shop when doing your holiday shopping. The center will be closed from December 24 to January 1. They will re-open on January 2 at 10 am.
