Windom, Texas -- Windom will once again honor its local heroes with the Seventh Annual Heroes Classic Basketball Tournament on January 3, bringing together area police and fire departments for a full day of competition and community celebration.

The day will begin with a police car and fire truck parade starting at 8:45 a.m. The parade will depart from the intersection of Highway 56 and Main Street in Windom, travel south along Main Street, continue onto First Street, and conclude at The Woodshed.

Basketball action tips off at 9:00 a.m., with games running throughout the day until approximately 6:00 p.m. Departments will compete for a tournament championship trophy and ceremonial rings, all while showcasing teamwork and sportsmanship.

The Heroes Classic is a free, family-friendly event, and the public is encouraged to attend and support their local police officers and firefighters.
