Bonham, Texas -- At the regular board meeting on Monday, December 15, 2025, the Bonham Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Stephanie Jimenez as Assistant Superintendent of Leadership and Learning.
District leaders highlighted the pivotal role of curriculum development and expressed confidence in Dr. Jimenez to spearhead efforts in advancing both curriculum and instructional leadership.
Dr. Jimenez joins Bonham ISD as a dynamic, results-oriented educational leader with over 29 years of dedicated service in cultivating positive school cultures and raising achievement for diverse student populations. Her extensive background spans classroom teaching, instructional coaching, and campus administration.

Dr. Jimenez has consistently demonstrated exceptional instructional leadership, driving school improvement through visionary strategies and innovative best practices.
Dr. Jimenez holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Education Policy and Leadership from Southern Methodist University. She earned her superintendent certification and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from the University of North Texas, a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University, and an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Kilgore College, where she was a member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes.
Throughout her diverse roles in education, she has been deeply committed to building positive school cultures, expanding opportunities for students, and partnering closely with families and the community to ensure every student is known, challenged, and supported.
Dr. Jimenez and her husband, Dave, have three children and two “fur babies,” and they are avid football fans. Born and raised in East Texas, Dr. Jimenez is excited to bring her experience and energy to Bonham ISD and looks forward to collaborating with the Warrior community in service of students.
