
It certainly didn't start out that way, though. Valley View controlled the action in the first quarter and doubled up on Dodd City, 14-7, going into the second period.
Dodd City responded with a 16-4 run and never relinquished the lead.
Dodd City led, 23-18, at the half and put together a 10-4 run in the third quarter to take a 33-22 lead into the final period.
Valley View managed to whittle four points off its deficit, but Dodd City posted a 47-32 win to advance to the title game.
Addison Weeks scored a game-high 23 points, Kodi Dorau put up eight points, Kayleigh McBrayer and Gracyn Shindler both scored seven, and Kennedy Chaney hit a three-point shot.
Weeks also led Dodd City with nine rebounds, Shindler grabbed four boards, Kendyl Lindsey and Dorau each had a pair of rebounds and McBrayer came down with one rebound.
Shindler and Weeks both had six steals.
Dodd City will take the court at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in the tournament championship against the always-tough Lindsay Lady Knights.
