Dodd City opened the game with a 12-3 run and increased its lead to 27-7 at halftime. The Lady Hornets held on to their 20-point cushion during the next two periods to earn a 50-30 victory on the road.

Seven Lady Hornets scratched the scorebook, led by Addison Week's 17 points and 16 points by Gracyn Shindler. Kodi Dorau put up five points, Makayla Camp finished with four points, with Kayleigh McBrayer, Kendyl Lindsey and Carla Medina all pitching in two points apiece. 

Weeks also pulled down 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double. Lindsey grabbed eight rebounds.

Weeks and Lindsey each had five assists and Shindler dished out four assists.

Weeks led the team in steals (6) and deflections (4).

The Lady Hornets will host another Class 4A team, Wills Point, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
