Sherman, Texas – Austin College students participated in the annual JanServe, a day of hands-on service during the three-week January Term, on Wednesday, January 21. 

The event is organized by the Austin College Service Station, a student-led office that promotes the involvement of all Austin College students in volunteer and community service efforts. This year’s JanServe was held in the College’s Robert T. Mason Sports Athletics-Recreation Complex.   

Austin College welcomed over 350 Special Olympics athletes from across Texoma School Districts for a Special Olympics Basketball Tournament. Austin College students helped to manage the event and assist athletes. Participants competed in various skilled activities and ended the event with an awards ceremony.
