Greenville, Texas -- An exciting season of playoff basketball for the Leonard Lady Tigers came to an end Tuesday night in an 18-point loss to Commerce in bi-district action at Greenville High School.
The teams traded baskets in the first quarter, with Commerce holding a one-point lead, 8-7. Commerce extended its lead to 17-10 at halftime and outscored Leonard 23-12 during the final two periods to earn a 40-22 victory.
Leonard's Bella Neaville had a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and one block.
Riley Brown came down with nine rebounds, put up seven points, blocked four shots and grabbed one steal.
Avery Ross had three points, Kylie Houser tossed in two points, Lauren Pemberton pulled down four rebounds, Trinity Newby had two rebounds, Sarah Garvey came up with a steal and Emma Houser hauled in one rebounds to go along with three steals.
Leonard finished the season with a 20-16 record.
