Bailey, Texas -- Melodese (Hembree) Rhine, 88, of Bailey, Texas, passed away on February 23, 2026, in Sherman, Texas.  She was born on February 3, 1938, in Gober, Texas, to R.A Hembree and Mamie Lou (Rogers) Hembree.

On September 18, 1954, she married Don Rhine, who preceded her in death on February 17, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Lou Ann Rhine.

Melodese is survived by her two daughters, Toni Lowry of Bailey, and Donna Craft and her husband Leslie, of Sherman. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Lowry of Arp; Charles Lowry and his wife Lindsey of Bailey; and Samantha Chambers of Melissa. She is lovingly remembered by 14 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kameron Rogers, Owen Rogers, Dylan Johnson, J. R. Stephens, Britt Moody, and Dakota Lowry. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Chambers, Jordan Craft, Mason Rogers, and Cody Johnson.

Funeral services will be rendered by Bro. Glynn Tyson and held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Bailey, Texas. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Philadelphia Cemetery.
