Texoma Region -- The Texoma Behavioral Health Leadership Team is excited to announce the Tenth Annual Community Behavioral Health Conference (CBHC) event is taking place on March 27, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Denison in the Texoma Event Center. The conference will bring together professionals, advocates, and community members focused on enhancing mental health awareness and services. This year’s theme, “Inform, Uplift, and Empower,” promises to inspire and educate attendees through a day of insightful plenary sessions, breakout seminars, and personal stories.

The conference features five dynamic plenary sessions:
Dr. Jarell Myers: A licensed clinical psychologist with training in both cognitive-behavioral and dialectal behavioral approaches to treatment shares his experience in working with adolescents and young adults dealing with comorbid anxiety and substance use disorder in his talk, “Invitation to Change – Substance Use.”
Dr. Benjamin McNabb: An independent pharmacist actively involved in pharmacy leadership at both the state and national level. Dr. McNabb will present “The Role of Pharmacy in Integrated Behavioral Health Care, which focuses on advancing community-based care models that integrate pharmacy with behavioral health, primary care, and community resources.
Lori Cook: Currently serving as the Vice President of the Strategic Partnerships for Innovation from the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, Lori Cook will present “AI & Mental Health,” focusing on her work to accelerate and amplify innovation in mental health, so all people can get the healthcare they need.
Sen. Brent Hagenbuch, Rep. Shelley Luther and Lee Johnson: Chief Executive Officer of Texas Council of Community, Lee Johnson will lead a facilitated conversation about state policy and funding with Senator Brent Hagenbuch and Representative Shelley Luther.
Nino Fincher: Purpose clarity coach and Rapid Therapy expert on PTS, Nino Fincher will present,“Aligning Mind and Purpose for Lasting Wellness.”
Attendees can also attend breakout seminars designed to inform and equip them to enhance community behavioral health and wellbeing.
Cara Lavender. Jenni Knutson, Lori Jo Casto, Dr. Leslie Carlos: Will explore the relationship between mental health and the aging population.
Dr. Jarell Myers and Ms. Dallas McCance – McCance joins Dr. Myers in a deep dive of his talk, “Invitation to Change.” Her work focuses on improving the lives of those living in rural communities and populations disproportionately affected by health disparities and substance addiction.

Additionally, there will be local and regional exhibitors/vendors, a personal story, as well as the awarding of the Dr. Don Rodgers and the “Patsy” awards. The Rodgers Award serves to recognize individuals who embody Don’s indomitable spirit to help all of us to become active citizens, serving as agents in our community. The “Patsy” is given to recognize a currently licensed mental health professional while honoring Patsy’s work and foresight.
The Texoma Behavioral Health Leadership Team (TBLHT) is a collective impact nonprofit dedicated to advancing mental health and well-being across the region. The CBHC is a premier event that gathers experts and advocates in the field of mental health and provides a platform for networking, sharing best practices, innovative research, and strategies to improve the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. The conference provides essential learning experience for professionals in healthcare, education, social services, and members of the public who are passionate about supporting mental health and wellness in the community.
