Bonham, Texas -- Donna Kay Curtis, 63, of Bonham, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2026, at her residence in Bonham, surrounded by her loving husband. She was born on August 16, 1962, the daughter of Homer and Mervel Hobbs. Donna lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to those around her.

Donna worked for many years as an insurance claims adjuster for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Following her retirement, she married her beloved husband, Kenneth Curtis, and embraced her role as a devoted wife and homemaker, caring for him with love and grace.

Donna found joy in flowers and comfort in the pages of countless books. However, her greatest joy came from her family, whom she cherished above all else. As a grandmother, lovingly known as "Nonna," she treasured spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, creating beautiful memories filled with laughter and love.

She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Don Hobbs, in 2018, and her nephew, Ted Robinson.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Curtis; her mother, Marvel Hobbs; her daughter, Brandi Thompson and husband Bryan, and granddaughter Madison Thompson; her sister, Deborah McGraw; her brother, Mack Hobbs and wife Michelle; nephews Carson Hobbs and Connor Hobbs; and niece Christine Shaddox. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Carolyn Curtis; bonus children Candace and husband Derrick Edwards and Asher, Lonnie Curtis and wife Mandy and Jane and Ruby, and Chad Curtis and partner Bailey Black; sister-in-law Paula and husband David Pennington and Stefani and Slade Gouge and Maddox; and brother-in-law Glen Curtis. Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

To honor Donna's life, a graveside service will be held at Duplex Cemetery on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Brother Cody Nelson will officiate.  Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her remarkable life and the love she shared with those around her.
