Season of Giving recipient receives vehicle repairs and community car seat donations benefiting North Texas families

Dallas, Texas -- North Texas nonprofit Families to Freedom provides emergency transportation for victims of domestic violence, helping them reach a shelter or reunite with family. Park Place Dealerships is partnering with Families to Freedom to help provide support, ensuring safe journeys can continue through vehicle repairs and a community car seat donation drive.

Families to Freedom was selected as a 2025 Season of Giving recipient, part of Park Place Dealerships’ annual $100,000 commitment supporting local nonprofits. Through this partnership, the organization received an in-kind donation in the form of complimentary vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Since the partnership began in November, Park Place technicians have serviced five vehicles, donating their time and using their skills to keep Families to Freedom’s vehicles safe and ready to drive. These repairs have allowed Families to Freedom to redirect these typical vehicle funds elsewhere and have alleviated some of the financial stress that comes hand in hand with vehicle upkeep.

“At Park Place, it is so important for us to foster the connections and build relationships with our Season of Giving recipients,” said Kara Connor, Park Place’s Community Engagement Manager.  “Families to Freedom is doing incredible work in North Texas, addressing a barrier that is often overlooked, and our Members are committed to using their talents to help their neighbors reach safety.”

In addition to vehicle repairs and maintenance, Park Place is hosting a car seat donation drive across all nine dealerships. In the past 12 months alone, Families to Freedom has transported 1,150 children, many of whom needed car or booster seats to travel safely. To help ensure children can be transported safely, Park Place is collecting new or gently used car seats. Community members are encouraged to drop off donations at the nearest Park Place Dealership

Car seat donation guidelines and drop off locations can be found on Families to Freedom’s donation page.
