This annual event honors the memory of Susan Hicks, whose courageous battle with breast cancer inspired the founding of Women Rock in October 2010. Each year, participants gather to celebrate survivors, support those currently fighting breast cancer, and remember the lives lost to this disease.

The event is family-friendly and pet-friendly, welcoming runners, walkers, and supporters of all ages. Vendor space is available, and participants who prefer to take part remotely may register for the virtual race option, allowing them to participate from anywhere while helping raise funds for this important cause. Participants must register by April 13, 2026, to receive an event t-shirt with their registration.

Proceeds from the Susan Hicks Memorial 5K and Fun Run benefit Women Rock, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to breast health education, awareness, and support. Women Rock provides assistance with screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, physician referrals, and vital support services for those recovering from breast cancer.

Participants are encouraged to wear pink and help “paint the streets of Bonham pink” as the community comes together to honor survivors, give hope to fighters, and remember those who have lost their lives to breast cancer.

Community members are invited to bring the whole family, gather friends, and form teams to support the fight against breast cancer.

Sponsorship opportunities and vendor spaces are still available. Individuals interested in volunteering are encouraged to reach out.
