Denison, Texas -- The staff at the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site invites anyone interested in history and how museums are created to join us on April 16, 2026, for our presentation titled House Museums: Presidential Birthplaces Edition in celebration of the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site’s 80th anniversary!
Visitors will learn about how house museums are turned into museums, and what factors are considered when creating house museums. Following the presentation, visitors will participate in an activity to put what they learned to the test!
Join us for some historic fun and you just might learn something while you are here!

Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site, a Texas Historical Commission property, showcases the modest
one-and-a-half-story home where the 34th U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower entered the world in 1890.
Family photographs and “Ike” memorabilia fill the visitor center and help tell the real story of the famed
