Partnership supports litter prevention, beautification, and community engagement

“Joining Keep Texas Beautiful strengthens our commitment to preserving Sherman’s natural spaces and creating a cleaner, more welcoming community,” said Cary Wacker, chair of the Keep Sherman Beautiful Commission. “This partnership gives us new opportunities to engage residents, support volunteers, and build pride in the places we share, especially as Sherman continues to grow.”
Through the affiliate program, Sherman will gain access to KTB’s statewide network, including training, grant opportunities, technical assistance, and collaboration with communities across Texas working to reduce litter and protect natural resources.
Keep Texas Beautiful Executive Director Sara Walters welcomed Sherman to the network. “We are excited to welcome Keep Sherman Beautiful to the Keep Texas Beautiful family,” Walters said. “Affiliates like Sherman play an essential role in mobilizing volunteers, strengthening local programs, and helping communities across Texas remain clean and beautiful.”
