Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced the closure of the US 75 northbound frontage road between Loy Lake Road in Sherman and FM 691. The closure is scheduled to start at 7:00 a.m. on March 30, 2026. The complete limits of the closed off frontage road is anticipated to be reopened in spring of 2027.

Northbound traffic will take the temporary entrance ramp onto US 75 from Loy Lake Road in Sherman to access the mainlanes to bypass the construction. The temporary
northbound exit ramp to FM 691 will allow traffic to access the northbound frontage road.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic
controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
