The current temporary access ramp from the Spur 503 frontage road to eastbound Spur 503 is planned to be closed and removed. Motorists wanting to access eastbound Spur 503 will continue on the northbound frontage road to the Spur 503 intersection. At the Spur 503 intersection, motorists will be able to take the right turn lane to access eastbound Spur 503. 

This traffic switch and temporary ramp closure will bring traffic into final access configuration for Spur 503.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
