Denison, Texas -- The season is winding down, but we're going out with a bang — literally. Frontier Village & Museum is hosting the final Spring Session of Living History Days on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and you won't want to miss it. This is your last chance this spring to step back in time and experience the rich pioneer heritage of Grayson County up close.

Whether you're a longtime history enthusiast or just looking for a one-of-a-kind family outing, Living History Days delivers an immersive experience unlike anything else in the area. Watch skilled craftsmen work the forge in a live blacksmithing demonstration, churn your own butter, and tackle authentic pioneer chores that give you a real feel for frontier life. And if you think you've seen it all — just wait until the cannon fires at 1 p.m. It's a moment that never gets old, and one the kids will be talking about for weeks.

The fun doesn't stop there. Live music by the beloved Houston Family Band will keep the atmosphere lively all afternoon, and younger visitors can unleash their creativity with the America 250 Kids Craft, a special activity sponsored by the Grayson County Jr. Master Gardeners celebrating America's 250th anniversary. A concession stand will be open throughout the event so you can grab a bite and make a full day of it.

Best of all, admission is just $8 per person — an incredible value for a full afternoon of history, entertainment, and hands-on fun for the whole family.

Don't let the spring season slip away without making memories at one of Grayson County's most beloved traditions. Mark your calendars, grab the family, and come celebrate the spirit of the American frontier!
