Cotter, Arkansas -- Vandy Nash and son Satchel Nash of Sherwood were fishing the White River out of Cotter Trout Dock with guide Eric Beecher on St. Patrick's Day (Tuesday, March 17) when they landed this trophy brown trout. The fish measured 26 inches in length.

White bass continue to run in creeks and rivers all around the state, according to guides and other sources. Black bass are showing up in spawning areas now, and the full moon is coming April 1, which is likely to coincide with a nice crappie spawn in Arkansas this year.
