Sherman, Texas -- Austin College Thinking Green and the Service Station are excited to announce that this year, GreenServe will be evolving from a one-day event to a month-long celebration of service.
To accommodate busy schedules and Texas weather, Austin College students, faculty, staff, and campus organizations will participate in a variety of environmentally concerned projects during the 16th annual GreenServe each Saturday throughout the month of April.
Groups of volunteers will clean and beautify locations throughout Sherman and beyond.
Saturday, April 4: IDEA Center Landscaping and Eisenhower State Park
Saturday, April 11: Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Lake Campus, and Eisenhower State Park
Saturday, April 18: Texas Ramp Project and Texoma Earth Day Festival
Saturday, April 25: Sneed Prairie

GreenServe is a collaborative effort of the College’s Service Station—a student-run office that promotes the involvement of all students in volunteer and community service efforts—and Austin College Thinking Green (THINK), which serves as an umbrella for all campus greening initiatives. Austin College has been designated a Green College by The Princeton Review for over a decade, demonstrating consistent commitment to greening projects throughout campus.
