Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced upcoming multiple nightly full closures of the northbound frontage road beginning at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. on April 13 until May 1.

This closure is to permit material stockpiling and permanent paving of the northbound frontage road. The closure will be between Taylor Street and Masters Street. Follow the posted detour and re-enter the northbound frontage road at US 82.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
