Bonham, Texas -- Eugene H. Johnson II, 60, passed away on April 20, 2026, in Bonham, Texas. He was born on May 31, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, to Eugene H. Johnson and Regina Laura Phillips-Hill.

Eugene was preceded in death by his father, Eugene H. Johnson, and his sisters, Roxanne Phillips and Cynthia Johnson.

He is survived by his loving mother, Regina Laura Phillips-Hill of Honey Grove, Texas; his wife, Sarah Carty of Honey Grove, Texas; his children, Gina Holmes and her husband Chris of Waxahachie, Texas, Victoria Shabanaj and her husband Tony of Anna, Texas, Elizabeth Crappell and her husband Keith of Lewisville, Texas, Coleman Johnson of Denton, Texas, and Nylah
Johnson of Honey Grove, Texas. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Parker, Maddox, Sawyer, Isobel, and Elle.

Eugene will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the lasting impact he made in their lives. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and unwavering kindness. His memory will be held close by all who knew and loved him.
