Paris, Texas -- The Ector Lady Eagles' entry into the 2026 softball playoffs was a three-inning rout with Ector eliminating the Campbell Lady Indians, 15-0.
The Lady Eagles went up 2-0 in the first inning, stretched their lead to 7-0 after two innings and the put the game away with eight runs in the bottom of the third to clinch a 15-0 bi-district victory.
Ector's Audrey Arie went 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in three runs while striking out five batters and only allowing two hits to get the win.
Aleea Wheeler was 2-for-2, scored two times and drove in two runs.
Alana Mackey went 1-for-1, walked twice, scored three times and also had two RBIs.
Adalynn Dederick had one hit in three trips to the plate and drove in a pair of runs.
Cheyenne Beaty, Ainsley Greathouse and Kutter Watts all had one hit apiece. Greathouse and Watts both had one RBI.
Ector advances to face Munday, the District 9A champs, in the area round.
Meanwhile, Dodd City, the runner-up to Ector in District 11A, defeated Saltillo 5-2 in another bi-district match-up and moves on to take on Harrold in the area round.
If Ector and Dodd City both come out victorious in the area round, they will tangle in the regional semifinals.
