Fannin County, Texas -- The Fannin County Texas A&M Club recently awarded a $1000 scholarship to an area student who will be attending Texas A&M University at College Station beginning in the Fall semester 2026.
Annalyn Stafford of Bonham was awarded the scholarship at the club's annual Muster event held every year on April 21.

The scholarship is available to students who submit an application/essay regarding their high school achievements, reside in Fannin County, and have been accepted to attend Texas A&M University, College Station.
Annalyn plans to study Agribusiness at Texas A&M to help her prepare to operate her own ranch. While attending Bonham High School, Annalyn was involved in softball, FFA, and National Honor Society.
The Fannin County Texas A&M Club would like to congratulate Annalyn and to wish her well as a member of the Texas A&M University class of 2030.
Fannin County Texas A&M Club is one of over 500 clubs across the nation and the world that holds an event called a “muster” every year on San Jacinto Day, April 21. Muster is a military term representing a roll call. Aggies across the world will gather to reminisce of their college days at Texas A&M while remembering those who have died in the previous year. The Fannin County muster speaker this year was Stanley Thomas, class of 1970.
