Paris, Texas -- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials today announced that bridge maintenance work will be underway beginning April 28, 2026.
The contractor, Gibson & Associates, Inc., plans to begin the bridge maintenance work on FM 905 at Big Sandy Creek in Lamar County and will move to subsequent locations as the work progresses. The contractor will be performing this work in Lamar, Grayson, Delta and Red River counties. Work will be performed at the following locations:
- Lamar County
- FM 905 at Big Sandy Creek
- Grayson County
- US 69 Overpass at US 82
- Delta County
- SH 19 at Lake Creek
- Red River County
- SH 37 at Sulphur River
This work will involve the installation of bridge maintenance items including concrete and erosion repairs. This work will be performed on and off the roadway surface. Occasional lane closures with flaggers and traffic shifts will be utilized during construction operations.
Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through these intersections. Motorists should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
