Bonham, Texas -- Gloria Jean White of Bonham, TX passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born January 23, 1954. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, compassionate nurse, and cherished friend whose life was defined by service, joy, and deep love for others.

Gloria dedicated her calling to nursing, spending her life caring for countless patients and families with empathy, skill, and an unwavering heart. Being an RN was more than a career for her; it was her purpose. She touched lives in ways both big and small, often offering comfort and kindness when it was needed most.

On August 5, 2008, Gloria married the love of her life, Ron White. Together they shared years filled with laughter and cherished memories. Gloria was the beloved daughter of Jelly and Margaret Ford and carried forward their legacy of strength, compassion, and love. Gloria is survived by her three daughters, who were the pride and joy of her life: Dori Howery and her husband Travis, Aja Parks and her husband Micah, Jaclyn Simpson and her husband JR.

She was a devoted grandmother to Austin and Lauren Leatherwood, Alex Leatherwood and Jayden, Ayden Leatherwood and Kayleigh, Koen Parks, Brynlee Owens, Kaysen Simpson, Ryan and Jordan Howery, Will and Grace Swan, Devin Howery, and Jayden Howery. Gloria was also blessed to be a great‑grandmother to Emmerson, River, Bowen, Liam, Knox, Annalise, Posie, Josie, Jr., and Jed. She is also lovingly remembered by extended family and special friends, including Freda Knox and Erin Fred, whose friendship and support meant so much to her.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Ron White; parents, Jelly and Margaret Ford; her brother and sister-in-law, Ronny and Ginger Ford; her sister, Jan Ford; and many close cousins and dear friends who welcomed her home.

While Gloria’s heart belonged to caring for others, she also knew how to enjoy life fully. She loved gardening and spending time in her flower beds, cooking for those she loved, listening to music, and making memories with her family. She found joy water‑skiing, in the mountains snow-skiing, and everywhere she went laughter seemed to follow.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Jessica Shannon, Kelly Covington, Franshelle Shelton, Jayna Deloach, Patty Coleman, and the many compassionate caregivers at Hospice Plus. Your kindness, care, and support provided comfort and dignity during Gloria’s final days and will never be forgotten.

Gloria Jean White leaves behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and compassion. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation to honor Gloria's life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. The family welcomes fresh flower arrangements in her memory, as they brought her great joy.
