Bonham, Texas -- Shawn Wesley Marsh, age 36, passed away on April 23, 2026. He was born on August 15, 1989, in Napa Valley, California, to Joseph “Joe” Carl Marsh and Jeanette Marie Day Marsh.

Shawn was the hardest working man, father of 6: Coltten, Carson, Brian, Shadow, Shayden, and his baby girl, Kali.  He would help anyone, anyway he possibly could.

Married to his wife of 16 years, they had a very special bond not many will ever get to find.  Shawn loved music of all kinds and food of all kinds.  One of his favorite things to do was hang out at the house with all his kids, family, and friends, and cook, and have some beers together with an occasional game of beer pong.

He loved going out to eat with his family, as well as, special one on one breakfast and lunch dates with his closest buddies.  He was a proud business owner of The Gutter Man, a proud dad, and husband.

As the protector of his family, he will be missed more than ever, he may not be here in present with us, but he will forever be protecting and watching over us from above.  We love you Shawn forever and always.

Shawn was preceded in death by his sister, Melinda McDermet.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cody Marsh of Bonham, Texas; sons, Coltten Van Hooser, Carson Van Hooser, both of Bonham, Texas, Brian Horton, of Sherman, Texas, Shadow Marsh, and Shayden Marsh, both of Bonham, Texas; and daughter, Kali Marsh of Bonham, Texas. He is also survived by his parents, Joe Carl Marsh and Jeanette Marsh, of Bonham, Texas; brother, Joe Marsh Jr. of Van Alstyne, Texas; and sisters, Sherene Marsh and Sandra Marsh, both of Bonham, Texas.

Shawn is further survived by his father-in-law, Gary McRae; mother-in-law, Sharon Cody; his sister-in-law, Jesse McRae; brother-in-law, Hunter McRae; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
