The Leonard High School Bass Fishing Team competed in the Regional Fishing Tournament at Possum Kingdom Lake this past weekend on 5/2/2026. Seniors Tucker Martin and Hunter Wren hit the water early Saturday morning on a mission to bring in some big catches.

By the 3 p.m. weigh-in, the two young men had 4 keepers with a total weight of 9.41 lbs. Out of 222 teams competing at Possum Kingdom, only the top 67 teams advanced to the State Tournament. Tucker and Hunter secured the 45th spot, earning their place in the Texas High School State Fishing Tournament on May 30 and May 31 at Lake Texoma.

Congratulations to these two young men on an outstanding season and for representing Leonard with hard work, dedication, and determination. Good luck at State!
