Bonham, Texas -- Fred Wright, born on June 22, 1943, in Boswell Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in Denison on May 4, 2026, leaving behind a life marked by faith, devotion, and a strong and steady spirit. Fred lived a life shaped by hard work and dedication. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home, Bonham, TX.

He was the kind of man who met his responsibilities with determination and carried himself with quiet strength. Throughout his life, he was devoted to his family and embraced his role as a loving papa with great pride. He was a true family man, and the bonds he formed with those closest to him were among the greatest accomplishments of his life. He was known for his spirited and ornery nature and his unwavering commitment to the people and things he cared about. Whether he was hauling hay, spending time outdoors, or enjoying the simple pleasures of life, he did so with a willingness to work and a gratitude for honest labor. His life was a reflection of perseverance, humility, and strength of character.

Fred found joy in the outdoors and appreciated the quiet beauty of time spent fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed following Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboy football, cheering for his teams with the same spirited enthusiasm that he brought to so many parts of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Jessie Wright, brothers, Harvey Wright, Thurman Wright, Clifford Wright, Lonzo Wright, Harold Wright, Luther Earnest Wright, Freddie Wright and sister Hazel Stroud. Fred leaves behind wife of 58 years, Lula Wright, sons, Fred and Trevor Wright, daughters, Loretta Forbey, Patricia Malaglowicz (Thomas), Pamela Norris, sister Rena Englutt, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
