Frisco, Texas -- Last season, the McKinney North Bulldogs baseball team (24-7-1) followed a similar path: a long postseason run where they came very close to the state finals with a team full of junior starters. This season as seniors, their bats are hot and their defense is even better.

On Thursday night, May 7, 2026 at Deeter Smotherman Field, the McKinney Bulldogs played the Raccoons, who had a 15-10 record. Their district included alll Frisco ISD teams. McKinney North Pitcher, Austin Sayman (#1) pitched a beautiful game against the Raccoons, striking out many batters.

McKinney North won the opener in this area round matchup, 7-2, and game two is set for Friday.

The Friday night game will feature Brooks Nelson (#15) on the mound.

The winner of this series will advance to the regional semifinal series against Ennis next week.
