Bonham, Texas -- Alice Lea Wallace, 66, of Bonham, Texas, passed away on May 7, 2026.
Born on March 29, 1960, in Bonham, Texas, Alice was the daughter of Marron Charles Wallace and Wilma Wroena Stokes. Alice was loved deeply by many, and in the weeks and months ahead there will be an unmistakable absence where her laughter, stories, and presence once filled the room. Though we can no longer sit and listen as Alice shared her stories, her family encourages everyone to continue sharing memories of her and with one another.
She was truly a rebel at heart, loved her family deeply and was fiercely independent. I think that’s why she loved red, white and blue so much. The Confederate, Texas and American flags because they were symbols of things she understood and lived by. However, she was also a little bit hippy, redneck and would hurt somebody to protect her family from harm if she had to.
What was most important to Alice were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law and her family in general. Please understand, we are not promised tomorrow, so I encourage you love and cherish those that matter most to you.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Marron Wallace and Wilma Cox; her sister, Patty Burns; and her brother, Porter Wallace.
She is survived by her loving children: Sabrina Garrison; Heather Doyle and husband Jeremy; and Amanda Robertson and husband Richard.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Cheyenne Garrison, Gregory Garrison, Kylie Fry, Johnathan Simpson and wife Brooklyn, Jeffrey Simpson and wife Tinsley, William Robertson, Channler Robertson, and Lexi Robertson.
Her great-grandchildren include: Paisley Simpson, Lennox Simpson, Paxton Simpson, and Brylie Fry.
Alice is also survived by her sisters: Elaine Sohms and husband James, Laura Preston and husband Doyle, Una Starr and husband Scott, and Pamela Wallace; and by her brothers: Fletcher Wallace and Paul Wallace and wife Bobbie.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
Alice’s family asks that those who knew and loved her continue to share stories, laughter, and memories in her honor.
