
Michael married Janice Carol Hill on May 10, 1971. He proudly served his country in both the United States Army and the United States Air Force. During his military career, he served in the Army in Vietnam and later continued his service in the Air Force as both a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical weapons Specialist & Instructor stationed across the United States, Japan, Turkey, and The Netherlands until his retirement in 1986 from Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas.
Throughout his years of service, Michael received numerous medals and commendations recognizing his dedication and commitment to his country.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Fewell, and his son, Michael Gaines Stanley Fewell Jr.
Michael was an avid reader and writer who had a deep love for music. He will be remembered for his intelligence, strength, wit, devotion to his family, and his many years of honorable military service.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Janice Fewell; his sons, William Fewell and Keith Fewell; his grandchildren, Crystalynn Fewell, Michael G. S. Fewell III, Colton Fewell, Hali Fewell, Larkin Fewell, Sydney Fewell, Taylor Fewell, Abigail Fewell, and Autumn Fewell; and his great-grandchildren, Cloie Jensrud, Haiden Pillow, Grady Fewell, Kaz Fewell, Bentley Fewell, and Luciana Velazquez.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
