Bonham, Texas -- Terrie Joe Thomas, “Joe T”, 53, passed away on May 12, 2026.

Joe T was born on October 19, 1972, in Sherman, Texas, to Tommy Joe Thomas and Donna Kay Hassey Thomas. He married the love of his life, Veronica Michelle Freeman, on April 29, 2002, in Ector, Texas.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Thomas; grandparents, Leon Thomas, Floy Pearson, and Willie and Dessie Hassey.

Joe was self-employed and known for his adventurous spirit and love of life. He loved motorcycles and anything that gave him the thrill of being a daredevil. Above all else, Joe’s greatest joy and most important treasure in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Thomas of Bonham, Texas; daughter, Alexis Jackson and husband Hayden of Paris, Texas; son, Zane Thomas of Bonham, Texas; grandaughter, Maevry Jackson; mother, Donna Thomas of Bonham, Texas; sister, Sheri Sparks and husband Rich of Bonham, Texas; niece, Cesaley Hill and husband Casey; nephew, Cole Sparks and wife Abbie; great-nieces and great-nephews, Griffin, Baker, Cooper, and Scottie; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with a graveside service afterward at Lamasco Cemetery.
