After splitting the first two games in this Region II DI Class 5A finals series, the McKinney Bulldogs punched their ticket to the UIL State Baseball Tournament with a 3-1 win over the Melissa Cardinals.

McKinney North advances to the state semifinals where the Bulldogs will take on the winner of Aledo/Americas.

In game one, McKinney North Bulldog starting pitcher Brooks Nelson (15) started the scoring in the third inning with a three-run homer to get the Bulldogs on the board.

Bulldog first baseman Matt Sadosky (13) with the final out in the second game of the series.

McKinney Bulldog pitcher Noah Gonzales (6) came in as a reliever to secure the 3-1 win over the Melissia Cardinals.
